Gunns bakery has baked up a reputation of serving mouth watering, fresh crusty bread to it's customers since 1928.

We make many varieties, from classics such as the White Sandwich loaf to today's brown, wholemeal and granary. We also make more modern loaves such as sunflower, onion, parmesan & tomato and the 'low G.I' multiseed.

This G.I multiseed may be a little more expensive but a quality loaf that keeps so well you just don't need to waste a crumb!

Gunns's Buns's are the ones's!

For the most important meal of the day, we have a scrumptious selection of morning goods to pick you up.
Buns, doughnuts, Chelsea and Belgian buns, tea cakes, fruit loaves and, not just at Easter now, Hot Cross Buns!

All the old favourites still reign like Eccles Cakes, Apple Turnovers, Vanilla Slices, Coconut Cheesecakes and Bread Pudding.
Add to these, cream �clairs, meringues, sponges and a full range of fresh cream cakes and you can see why we needed a shop!

Hundreds of sandwiches, filled rolls and sticks are made weekly over all our shops to keep customers lunch time hunger pangs at bay. Dozens of different fillings all freshly prepared.

A bakers wouldn't be a bakers without Sausage rolls - still our number 1 savoury!

Not far behind though is our own version of the Cornish Pasty - popular with all who've tried them. A host of others compliment our selection - not forgetting, of course, the Bedfordshire Clanger!

We don't call ourselves the "Home of the Bedfordshire Clanger " for nothing. We produce many different varieties of this centuries old county speciality and are probably the only commercial manufacturer still in existence.

Providing Wedding and Celebration Cakes for the whole of Bedfordshire to enjoy!

Ever since establishing in Sandy 80 odd years ago, Gunns has produced Wedding Cakes for countless Bedfordshire Brides.

The original rich fruit cake bases covered with marzipan and traditional Royal Icing have slowly given way to the more modern alternatives of soft sponge and soft roll-out icing and even Chocolate Cakes luxuriously covered with chocolate ganache , for example.

All cakes are individually produced for each recipient and we pride ourselves in trying to produce the ultimate on every occasion!
